A tribute to Finnish architecture
At the end of the 19th century, Finnish self-esteem and national image were built heavily through the aid of architecture. Herman Gesellius, Armas Lindgren and Eliel Saarinen were responsible on their part for the changes in architectural direction. During its short period of existence, the office established by the young students managed to design many significant works of Finnish architecture. Some of these have been immortalised by the silver commemorative coin of 2024
- 92,5 % silver
- Glassy proof quality valued by collectors
- Restricted maximum number of minted coins: only 1 400
The distinctive side of the commemorative coin is distinguished by the buildings stretching towards the centre (the National Museum, Hvitträsk, Tallberg House and the Finnish Pavilion at the Paris World Exhibition 1900), as well as the names of the architects.
